Meet Your Tutor: Gary Nurse
Gary Nurse is an experienced screen acting tutor, director, writer, and performance coach with a strong track record of preparing actors for television and film. A former member of the jazz dance outfit IDJ and an acclaimed choreographer, he has coached actors who have gone on to secure roles in major productions including Top Boy, Bridgerton, 1917, Boiling Point, Gassed Up, Blue Story and Supacell. As a Christian working in the industry, Gary also understands the unique challenges Christian actors can face while building a career and staying grounded in their values.
What You Will Learn
This course is designed for beginners, including those with little or no acting experience. Students will develop basic acting technique alongside screen skills, including: * Basic acting foundations * Truthful performance and scene work * Character and script understanding * Camera framing and eyelines * Confidence on screen * Taking direction * Preparing you for your first screen roll Students learn through practical filmed exercises in a supportive environment.
